ON THE EDGE fringe festival

Where: Capitol Centre, North Bay
Every year the festival presents shows ranging from folk/indie music, sketch and stand-up comedy, contemporary dance pieces, and slam poetry to storytelling, multi-disciplinary performance art and more traditional theatre works. The festival programs 12 artists/companies per year in four venues within North Bay’s Capitol Centre. In addition, the festival hosts pop-up performances, arts installations, and curated exhibitions through the multi-arts incubator, Duality.
James and The Giant Peach

Valley East Days

Music on the Slopes

Join us for our second annual Music on the Slopes at the top of Laurentian Ski Hill. Tickets are $10. Vendors, children’s activities, Children’s performer and an enlarged beer tent over last year. Bring a chair or blanket.
13th Annual Anderson Farm Fall Fair

Muskoka River X Sprint & Classic
When: September 14-15
Where: Penninsula Lake, Huntsville
The Muskoka River X Sprint: Starting with the MRX Classic paddlers, Sprint Teams will paddle 58km of the North branch of the Muskoka River starting in Penninsula Lake, through Port Sydney before ending their journey in Bracebridge.
The Muskoka River X Classic: Teams paddle two rivers systems, three lakes and 20 portages for a total of 130km in less than 24 hours. The Classic is completely self-supported. That’s right, no outside assistance, no support teams and no re-supplies. It is considered toughest and longest single-day paddling event in the world.
Wine & Cheers 2019 (hosted by Young Professionals Association (YPA)

Cinefest Sudbury International Film Fest

Cinéfest Sudbury International Film Festival, also known as Cinéfest and Cinéfest Sudbury is an annual film festival in Sudbury, Ontario, held over nine days each September. It is one of the largest film festivals in Canada. First held in 1989, Cinéfest quickly became a popular destination for Canadian filmmakers.
