Families First New Years Eve
When: December 31
Where: Memorial Gardens/Thompson Park/YMCA, North Bay
Families First will welcome in the New Year with family-oriented activities including the ever-popular family skate, button-making station, and inflatable bouncy land. Other activities include giant games, photo booths, interactive reptile shows, face painting, family swim (1pm – 2:30pm), a sweet treat and the grand finale fireworks display to round off the evening in celebration of the event’s 26th Anniversary. Admission is free but everyone is encouraged to bring a non-perishable food donation for the North Bay Food Bank.
Christmas Bird Count for Kids
When: January 5
Where: Lake Laurentian Conservation Area, Sudbury
Participants will be introduced to our local winter bird species, then head out in birding teams with an experienced birder for a hike and bird count. Following presentations of bird counts, families will have the opportunity to make a simple bird feeder, at a cost of $5.00 per feeder, to bring home and attract some feathered friends to their yards!

Paint Social
